Paraprofessional Procedures & Expectations

Para’s are the HEART of the classroom and we rely on them to help support and guide our students. At the beginning of the school year I give m paraprofessionals a packet that covers all of the classroom expectations as well as the procedures in the classroom.
We are 1:1 program and I currently have 5 para’s in my classroom.  In order for our students to be successful, we all NEED to be on the same page to create structure and consistency.

With this, each activity is structured and consistent from the beginning of the day until the end.
We spend most of our day doing 2 center rotations (10 minute rotations between 6 centers). This is where we practice both the TEACCH Method and STAR Program skills.
